Terms of Service

Effective 2026-07-19

1. Who We Are and Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Am I Hacked? ("we", "our", "us"), the OSINT and breach-intelligence platform available at aih.gg, including our dashboard, APIs, and related services (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. The Service

The Service provides open-source intelligence (OSINT) and exposure-intelligence tools, which depending on your plan may include:

  • OSINT Search: searches for information associated with an identifier (such as an email address, username, or phone number) across external intelligence sources, with results streamed back to you. Some sources are "premium modules" that consume additional search credits.
  • Basic Search: checks which online services an email address appears to be registered with.
  • IP Lookup: retrieves geolocation and network information (ISP, organisation, proxy/hosting indicators) for an IP address.
  • Breach Search and Dark Web Monitoring: features that we may introduce, change, or withdraw; where shown as "coming soon" they are not yet available.
  • Search History: recent OSINT searches, retained for a limited period (currently 7 days) on eligible plans.
  • API Access: programmatic access to eligible features using API keys, on eligible plans.

Feature availability, allowances, and limits depend on your subscription plan as described at checkout and on the billing pages. We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you are not barred from using the Service under any applicable law.

We may limit, pause, or close registration for new accounts at any time.

4. Your Account

  • You must provide accurate information, including a valid email address that you control. Sign-in uses one-time verification codes sent to your email, so anyone with access to your mailbox can access your account. Keep your mailbox secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and your API keys.
  • We send security notifications (for example on new sign-ins, email changes, and API key changes). You can review and revoke active sessions in your account settings.
  • Accounts are personal. You must not share, sell, or transfer your account, or use another person's account without permission.
  • We may refuse, reclaim, or require you to change account identifiers where necessary.

5. Acceptable Use

The Service surfaces information about real people. You must use it lawfully, proportionately, and only for legitimate purposes, for example investigating your own digital footprint, security research, fraud prevention, or investigations you are authorised to conduct.

You must NOT use the Service to:

  • stalk, harass, intimidate, dox, blackmail, or otherwise harm any person, or monitor an individual without a lawful basis;
  • discriminate against any person, or make decisions about employment, credit, insurance, housing, or similar matters (see Section 11);
  • gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, network, or data, including using credentials or other information found through the Service to access accounts that are not yours;
  • violate any applicable law or regulation, including data protection, privacy, computer misuse, and anti-harassment laws in your jurisdiction;
  • resell, republish, or systematically redistribute search results or underlying data, or use the Service to build or enrich your own database or a competing product;
  • scrape, crawl, or bulk-query the Service, circumvent rate limits, credit deductions, plan restrictions, or the one-time free search, or interfere with the operation or security of the Service;
  • probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service except through any authorised disclosure process;
  • share results with parties you know or suspect will use them for any of the above.

You are solely responsible for how you use search results, including compliance with data protection law where you process personal data obtained through the Service. We may investigate suspected misuse and may suspend or terminate accounts involved (see Section 14).

6. Search Credits and the Free Search

  • OSINT searches consume search credits: currently 1 credit for a standard search and 4 credits for a search including premium modules. We may change credit costs prospectively.
  • Plan credits are included with eligible subscriptions and refresh to the plan allowance at the start of each billing period. Unused plan credits do not roll over, and they are removed if your eligible subscription ends.
  • Purchased credits (top-ups) stay on your account until used, but can only be spent while you have an active eligible subscription. Plan credits are spent before purchased credits.
  • Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for money except where required by law.
  • If a search fails to start because of an error on our side or with our upstream providers, the credits (or free search) consumed for that attempt are automatically returned.
  • New accounts may receive a one-time free OSINT search. It is limited to one per person and per account; creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free searches is prohibited.

7. Subscriptions and Billing

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis until cancelled. Current prices, allowances, and features are shown at checkout and on the billing pages. Prices are listed in pounds sterling (GBP) unless stated otherwise, and may exclude applicable taxes.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details; payment methods are held by Stripe and managed from your billing settings.
  • Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel beforehand.
  • You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. You can resume a pending cancellation before the period ends.
  • If you upgrade or change plans, changes and any associated charges or credit adjustments take effect as described at the time of the change.
  • If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend or downgrade your access until payment succeeds.
  • We may change prices with prior notice. Price changes take effect from your next billing period after the notice.

8. Refunds and Cancellation Rights

  • Except where required by law, payments (including subscription fees and credit purchases) are non-refundable, and no refunds or credits are provided for partial billing periods or unused allowances.
  • Where you have a statutory right of withdrawal (for example as a consumer in the UK or EU), you acknowledge that by accessing paid features or consuming credits during the withdrawal period you request immediate performance, and any refund may be reduced to reflect use, or lost once the service has been fully performed, to the extent permitted by law.
  • Nothing in these Terms affects statutory rights that cannot be excluded or limited.
  • We may, at our discretion, issue refunds or credits in exceptional circumstances; doing so once does not oblige us to do so again.

9. API Access

  • Eligible plans may create API keys to access parts of the Service programmatically. Keep your keys secret; anyone holding a key can spend your credits and act within its permissions. You can revoke keys at any time in the dashboard, and we notify you by email when keys are created or revoked.
  • API usage is subject to rate limits and to the same plan restrictions, credit costs, and Acceptable Use rules as the dashboard. Do not attempt to evade rate limits or key restrictions.
  • We may throttle, suspend, or revoke API access that degrades the Service, appears abusive, or breaches these Terms.

10. Search Results and Third-Party Data

  • Search results are compiled from external intelligence sources and third-party providers in real time. We do not control these sources and make no promises that results are accurate, complete, current, or relevant to any particular person; identifiers can be reused, spoofed, or associated with the wrong individual.
  • The presence of an identifier in a result does not prove that a specific person holds an account, was breached, or engaged in any activity. You must independently verify information before relying on it or taking any action affecting another person.
  • Results may include links, logos, or content belonging to third parties; these remain the property of their owners, and their appearance does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of the Service.

11. No Consumer Reporting Agency

The Service is not a consumer reporting agency and search results are not consumer reports (including within the meaning of the U.S. Fair Credit Reporting Act or equivalent laws elsewhere). You must not use the Service or any results to determine any person's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, licences or benefits, or for any other purpose that would require compliance with consumer-reporting laws.

12. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content we create, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law. Feedback you provide may be used by us without restriction or obligation.

13. Support

You can contact support through the ticket system in the dashboard or by emailing [email protected]. We provide support on a reasonable-efforts basis, with no guaranteed response times. Our staff may access your account data as needed to investigate and resolve your request, as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Suspension and Termination

  • You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account by contacting us.
  • We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access (temporarily or permanently, with or without notice) if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, misused the Service, created risk or legal exposure for us or others, or where required by law. Where a suspension is temporary, it may be lifted after a stated period.
  • Upon termination your right to use the Service ends immediately. Remaining credits and prepaid periods are forfeited where termination results from your breach, except where the law requires otherwise. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 10, 11, 12, and 16 to 20) survive termination.

15. Service Changes and Availability

The Service depends on third-party providers and is provided without any uptime guarantee. Features, sources, allowances, and limits may change, and the Service may be unavailable from time to time, including for maintenance. Where a change materially reduces a paid feature you rely on, your remedy is to cancel under Section 7.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of results or the availability of the Service.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill;
  • we are not liable for the acts or omissions of third-party data sources or for how you or others use information obtained through the Service;
  • our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in that period.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

18. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or your infringement of any third party's rights, including claims arising from decisions you make or actions you take based on search results.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will give reasonable advance notice, for example by email or a notice in the Service. Changes take effect on the stated effective date, and your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using the Service and cancel any subscription before they take effect.

20. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them, except that if you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections and courts of the country where you live, where applicable law grants them.

21. Contact
